Red Absinthe existed in the Belle Epoque as well. This Absinthe is naturally colored with flower extracts. The taste has a candy like, sweet note, although no sugar is used in the recipe. Anise and fennel are only slightly present. A flowerish taste is noticable (especially when you taste it undiluted), but vanishes when you add water. Overall a nice variation to the artificial red Absinthes out there and a product with historic roots.
